HOW ZENTRACE WORKS

From device reading to map marker.

A simple five-step flow built around the connected device, ZEN LINK and phone GPS.

Step 1 measuring target distance with the device laser rangefinder
01

Measure the Target

Use the connected device laser rangefinder to take a distance reading on your target.

Step 2 connecting the device to the phone in ZENLINK
02

Connect the Device

Pair the optic with your phone in ZENLINK over Wi‑Fi, then enable Bluetooth and ZenTrace mode.

Step 3 syncing measurement data from device to phone
03

Sync to Phone

The measured distance and device azimuth transfer into the app together with the phone GPS position.

Step 4 calculating target coordinates inside ZenTrace
04

Calculate Coordinates

ZenTrace combines range, azimuth and phone GPS to calculate the target coordinate and place a marker on the map.

Step 5 navigating to the saved target marker on the ZenTrace map
05

Navigate to the Marker

Open the map, select the saved target marker and use in-app guidance to navigate back toward the recorded point.

Content summary (EN)

This video provides a silent-equivalent walkthrough of the ZenTrace workflow shown on the phone screen.

  1. 1. Connect and pairThe phone connects to the optic in ZENLINK, then Bluetooth and ZenTrace mode are enabled so the app can receive data.
  2. 2. Measure and transferA rangefinder measurement is taken and the measured distance plus device direction are transferred into the app with the phone GPS position.
  3. 3. Create a markerThe workflow shows a target marker being created either manually in the app or automatically after recoil when the supported device is mounted and connected.
  4. 4. Retrieve on the mapThe saved marker is opened in the map view so the user can review the point and navigate back toward the recorded location.
